027: ABOUT A YEAR OF MY LIFE
- August 18, 2009 8:01 PM
- PHOTOS
I know it's not the end of a year yet, but when I was arranging my Flickr photos, those ones made me remind of many memories of this year.
I could go to travel many places around Kansai area during this time. I didn't know at all Awaji and Shikoku were very close here. I had wasted very long time to find it.
Well, I don't know how long I will be here in Osaka from now, but I'm gonna enjoy all the time of my staying, whatever. Give me some excellent informations about Kansai if you have, please.

025: HANSHIN KOSHIEN STADIUM
On 11th July, I and my friends went to watch the baseball game at Hanshin Koshien Stadium. Of course I'm a Giants fan, cuz I was born in Tokyo.
And guess what, this is a common sense in Japan but the Tigers fans and the Giants fans are hating each other very much! :P
I couldn't relax at all at the middle of Tigers fans... Haha
Anyway, it was a very nice experience though! For me, it was the first visiting there, actually. But unfortunately, I couldn't see this stadium before the last year's reconstruction.
Well, I'm gonna be back here to watch "Kokoyakyu" again this summer!

016: FLICKR SLIDESHOW EMBED

I just wanted to try this slideshow function of Flickr. It's very nice.
Recently, I'm taking a lot of photos again.
But now, I don't have any SLR cameras but only very cheap Nikon's compact digital camera (P5100).
I really want something good and not crazy expensive, for example Nikon D90.
So far, I'm retouching every photos by Adobe Photoshop. I'm usually changing the contrast and color balance, using some lens filters, and sharpening it.
Actually, retouching photos by Photoshop is one of my very favorite things. I'm totally enjoying that.
But same time, this process lets me know about my camera's limit...
But you know, I don't wanna shoot with huge tripod and long time for every single pieces, at all. I like snap shots too...
Oh, I can't decide what I'm supposed to do... :S
But anyway, I'm totally enjoying shooting photos. That's enough, isn't it!? ;)

ARCHIVE 167: JR
![]()
JR is a french artist / photographer.
I like his artworks very much. Sooo exciting.
I really wanna see his real works but we can't find those still in Japan yet. We're totally looking forward to being attacked from you man!
He was interviewed by CBS and said like this.
"The photos have a lot of messages. But the main one is: 'Look at me, I exist, I'm larger than life.'"
We can tell that there are many problems to the younger generation in France now.

JR was in Manhattan, NY, recently.

ARCHIVE 129: TOY "DIGITAL" CAMERA; VISTAQUEST VQ1005

I bought a cute toy camera named VistaQuest VQ1005 recently.
Someone said that those photos' flavor shoot by this seems like Lomo or something like half-film-spy cameras' ones.
Yeah, after I saw the pics (actually this camera doesn't have any screen to check pics), I totally understand why it was thought like that.
Look at the photos above. Very strong contrast, the balance of blur and sharpness, and darker frame etc...
Nice toy!

My friend let me know this interesting photo essay from this book, "Hungry Planet".
Especially the Japanese and the United States ones are very unique I thought. Anyway why did the photographer choose such a funny Japanese family to shoot? :) So funny.

ARCHIVE 014: NOTE; THIS DOCUMENT IS CONFIDENTIAL

photospace.jpgI love this project named PhotoSpace very much!
Recently, Flash source codes (Action Script) have become totally complicated. That means, writing scripts from the beginning is getting meaningless. If someone writes this kinda base source only once, we can share and customize it.
This idea is not brand-new at all. We've called it as "Open Source" in the internet industry already.
But in Flash world, it is one of the very fresh movements I guess (but yeah, some designers for example Joshua Davis, they've already shared their Action Script since a long time before. But it's a rare case. Isn't it?).
I think, sometimes this kind of things are called "Web 2.0", "Mush up" or something like those kinda words (usually mixed with XML, Javascript...). But I still don't understand exactly the meaning of that yet.
I just wanna call it as "Lazy Way" instead (of course it's a good meaning!). lol
I made a simple example by this.
